How to add an anaglyph 3D with Claude

The whole clip becomes a red-and-cyan double image, the two eyes' views 16 pixels apart, so the product stands out of the screen through 3D glasses.

Get this effect

  1. Switch to Code in your Claude Desktop App

  2. Install the skill (once)

    Show the prompt
Install the Recharm video effects skill: download https://recharm-growth-staging.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/website/downloads/recharm-video-effects.zip and unzip it into ~/.claude/skills
  3. Ask for the effect

Add an anaglyph 3D to input.mp4
Pixels between the two eyes' views: 16
Frames the right eye runs ahead: 3

Several videos, several effects, one ask

Put your clips in the folder, mention them with @, and ask for everything at once. Claude runs one tested script after another on each clip, then joins them.

Add an anaglyph 3d to @clip1.mp4, put a sale badge on @clip2.mp4, give @clip3.mp4 a VHS look, then join all three with crossfades.

Settings you can change

Ask Claude to change any of these, or edit them at the top of the command.

SettingDefaultWhat it does
GAP16Pixels between the two eyes' views. More makes the picture pop out further.
LAG3Frames the right eye runs ahead. With a moving camera this gives near and far things different depths; 0 for a locked-off shot.

Without the skill

Don’t want to install the skill? Paste this prompt into Claude Code and Claude writes the command itself.

Show the prompt
Turn input.mp4 into a red/cyan anaglyph 3D video for its whole length. Make two views of the clip: the right-eye view is the video 3 frames later (hold the last frame at the end so it stays 6 seconds), the left-eye view is the video as it is. Crop both to 524x930, centered vertically, taking the left eye from x=16 and the right eye from x=0, so the left eye's picture sits 16 pixels left of the right eye's. Combine them as a color anaglyph: the red channel from the left eye, green and blue from the right eye (for example ffmpeg's stereo3d=sbsl:arcc on the two placed side by side). Scale the result back to 540x960 at 30fps. Keep the audio. Use ffmpeg and save it as output.mp4.

Run it without Claude

This is the exact command we tested. Save it as anaglyph-3d.sh and run:

sh anaglyph-3d.sh input.mp4 output.mp4
Show the command
#!/bin/sh
# Anaglyph 3D: a red left-eye view and a cyan right-eye view of the clip, set apart so it reads as 3D through red/cyan glasses.
# Usage: sh anaglyph-3d.sh input.mp4 output.mp4
# Needs ffmpeg (its stereo3d filter mixes the two views).
