How to add a logo watermark with Claude

A see-through white "LUMEN" logo, a ringed dot beside the word, stays tucked in the bottom-right corner from the first frame to the last while the shot plays behind it.

Get this effect

  1. Switch to Code in your Claude Desktop App

  2. Install the skill (once)

    Show the prompt
Install the Recharm video effects skill: download https://recharm-growth-staging.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/website/downloads/recharm-video-effects.zip and unzip it into ~/.claude/skills
  3. Ask for the effect

Add a logo watermark to input.mp4
    Logo file: None
    Brand: LUMEN

Several videos, several effects, one ask

Put your clips in the folder, mention them with @, and ask for everything at once. Claude runs one tested script after another on each clip, then joins them.

Add a logo watermark to @clip1.mp4, put a sale badge on @clip2.mp4, give @clip3.mp4 a VHS look, then join all three with crossfades.

Settings you can change

Ask Claude to change any of these, or edit them at the top of the script.

SettingDefaultWhat it does
LOGO_FILENoneYour logo PNG; None draws a placeholder wordmark.
BRANDLUMENText of the placeholder wordmark.
WIDTH0.30Logo width as a share of the frame width.
MARGIN0.04Gap to the right and bottom edges, as a share of the frame width.
OPACITY0.6How solid the logo is, from 0 (invisible) to 1.

Without the skill

Don’t want to install the skill? Paste this prompt into Claude Code and Claude writes the script itself.

Add a logo watermark to input.mp4. Use Python with Pillow to draw the logo on a transparent PNG (don't rely on ffmpeg's drawtext filter): a white ring with a white dot in its center (the dot a third of the ring's width across), then the word "LUMEN" in bold white capitals to its right, vertically centered on the ring. Scale the whole logo to 30% of the frame width, give it a soft black shadow (35% opacity, blurred 4 pixels, 2 pixels down) and make the logo and shadow 60% opaque. Place it in the bottom-right corner with its right and bottom edges 4% of the frame width in from the frame's edges, and keep it there for the whole clip, from the first frame to the last, with no fade. Leave the rest of the frame untouched. Overlay it with ffmpeg, keep the audio, and save it as output.mp4.

Run it without Claude

This is the exact script we tested. Save it as logo-watermark.py and run:

python3 logo-watermark.py input.mp4 output.mp4

#!/usr/bin/env python3
"""Logo watermark: a semi-transparent white logo sits in the bottom-right corner for the whole clip.

Usage: python3 logo-watermark.py input.mp4 output.mp4
Needs ffmpeg and Pillow (pip install pillow). Set LOGO_FILE to your own PNG, or it draws a placeholder logo.
